My original fanclub report taken from
Sports-India.com:
The match started very straight, the first three games have been without a piece of a chance for the returning team. But
at Raven's serve, he was 0-40 behind. Second break point was successful, so we were 3-1 in the
lead. As Eric and Harsh were also able to break Auckland, Harsh served for the set at 5-1 - but he
lost that. Anyway, no need to worry, as Auckland and Klaassen found no way to do anything against Eric's
serve this evening. Three aces, two more service winners - don't care about a deuce score if you serve like this:
the first set was won.
Second set was quite straight until 2-2 again. Auckland was 15-40 behind at own serve then, our guys took the chance and the lead. Again, they gave their
opponents not a single chance even to think about a comeback. At Aucklands serve, they
got double match point at 15-40, but Auckland gave them two aces. The next two points were
on our side, so we closed the match with a 6-3 score.
